Designed and manufactured in New Zealand to deliver uncompromising performance in all types of logging applications. Professionally designed and built, these grapples are for the high volume application that demands the best. Huge capacity, quick acting, powerful action and long life are just a few features to improve your throughput.

Overview

  1. High Strength Steel. High strength alloy steel is used throughout the frame and jaws for long lasting durability.
  2. Pins. These are induction-hardened alloy steel. All pin joints also have heavy-duty hardened steel bushes — significantly lengthening pin and bearing life.
  3. Tight pin tolerances reduce wear and promote long life for the induction hardened pins.
  4. Optimised jaw shape for excellent multiple stem grip and holding power.
  5. Wide Opening. Best in class opening widths give the user greater operating flexibility.
  6. Wear Shims. Shims are fitted to all high wear areas for reduced body wear and smoother operation.
  7. Rotate top on BX650 is similar to GX logging range, including separate rotate motor and centre joint to match the grapples larger body and jaws.
  8. Jaws are designed to optimise performance in all areas of loading, sorting, shovelling, or bunching.
  9. 360° Continuous Rotation. High-torque hydraulic motor positions the grapple precisely for rapid sorting and loading. Built-in cross port relief protects the hydraulic system even with heavy loads. Heavy-duty slew bearing for reliability.
  10. Hydraulic Cylinders. Heavy-duty wall construction delivers durability and maximum closing power. Bolted glands facilitate both durability and serviceability. BX series grapples feature precision made heavy-duty wall construction with heavy-duty hardened steel bushes. This benefit delivers durability and maximum closing power reliability.
  11. BX650 cylinders feature a hose guard to ensure added protection from wood damage.
  12. Internal Routings. Hose connections and supply lines are protected inside the grapple frame, away from the possibility of damage with an easy hose access panel.
  13. Bolt-on access panels protect the grapple internals, but allow easy serviceability in the field.
  14. In-the-Field Servicing. All grease points, the motor and other service components are easily accessible in the field with hand tools. Service can be performed quickly, from one position, minimizing downtime.
  15. All spare parts are available ex stock for same day dispatch.
  16. Grapple is best suited to a 20 Tonne Machine.
