Designed and manufactured in New Zealand to deliver uncompromising performance in all types of logging applications. Professionally designed and built, these grapples are for the high volume application that demands the best. Huge capacity, quick acting, powerful action and long life are just a few features to improve your throughput.

Overview

  • High Strength Steel. High strength alloy steel is used throughout the frame and jaws for long lasting durability.
  • Pins. These are induction-hardened alloy steel. All pin joints also have heavy-duty hardened steel bushes — significantly lengthening pin and bearing life.
  • Tight pin tolerances reduce wear and promote long life for the induction hardened pins.
  • Optimized jaw shape for excellent multiple stem grip and holding power.
  • Grapple jaws are designed to optimise performance in all areas of loading, sorting, shovelling or bunching with additional wear protection of hard facing on any high wear areas
  • Overlapping Jaws. Jaws will close down to a minimum of seven inches — allowing operators the ability to easily handle single, smaller stems.
  • Individual Jaw Pivots. Both jaws have individual pivot points that dramatically reduces the overall stress, wear and fatigues and increases lifespan.
  • Wide Opening. Best in class opening widths give the user greater operating flexibility.
  • Wear Shims. Shims are fitted to all high wear areas for reduced body wear and smoother operation.
  • 360° Continuous Rotation. High-torque hydraulic motor positions the grapple precisely for rapid sorting and loading. Built-in cross port relief protects the hydraulic system even with heavy loads. Heavy-duty slew bearing for reliability.
  • Internal Routings. Hose connections and supply lines are protected inside the grapple frame, away from the possibility of damage.
  • All series two models an easy hose access panel has been added.
  • Hydraulic Cylinders. Heavy-duty wall construction delivers durability and maximum closing power. Bolted glands facilitate both durability and serviceability. Hydraulic Cylinders. GX series grapples feature precision made heavy-duty wall construction with heavy duty hardened steel bushes. This benefit delivers durability and maximum closing power reliability.
  • Direct Connect Fittings. Direct fittings are durable and long-lasting, vastly increasing long-term reliability.
  • Rotating seal joint assembly gives unsurpassed seal life with large sealing areas and specialised high-pressure seals.
  • Hose layout between grapple and base machine is compact and neat. Series two include same length hoses to avoid confusion when being changed.
  • Duxson series two grapples feature a redesigned centre joint to be more user friendly and efficient.
  • Bolt-on access panels protect the grapple internals, but allow easy serviceability in the field.
  • In-the-Field Servicing. All grease points, the motor and other service components are easily accessible in the field with hand tools. Service can be performed quickly, from one position, minimizing downtime.
  • All spare parts are available ex stock for same day dispatch.
  • Easy fit up with various setup options and links available.
  • Optional hose through or non-hose through rotators.
